My latest passion is for the art of Stained Glass. I
was given a gift certificate for Christmas by my husband for my
beginner's class in copper foil stained glass. In the cold winter
months, when I couldn't get out in my garden play, I took
my stained glass course. My first piece was a butterfly and flower
panel, which immediately went to my mom, just like a kid's first
piece of artwork from kindergarten. :) She displays it in her
kitchen window. Others in my family are my guinea pigs for
my newest creations as my skills develop.
A Wedding Gift for a friend
A Hibiscus Fan Light
A Rose Window
Sailing into the sunset
Flipflops on the beach
Little Bo Peep
A cardinal
A Ladybug that I actually
designed on my own
for my brother's wife
for her Christmas present.
Here's one of my newest pieces
for my other sister...
stars and moon.
I will take a picture of this one hanging
as soon as I can get a
good sunny day.
The effect with the light shining through is a bit more dramatic
than sitting on my kitchen counter!
Butterfly
The same piece,
different
lighting.
One shows off the texture of the
background I picked,
one
shows the
colors of the flower,
circle and hummer a bit better.
This
is for my
oldest sister's birthday present.
